![]() Some have complained that gameplay with the hero as a wolf is too awkward, but at its very worst I found it only slightly annoying, and that it generally had equal advantages to disadvantages when compared to gameplay with the hero as a human.Ī good game, but better on the game cube. Possibly this game's largest weakness is that certain areas (particularly parts of Hyrule Field) had somewhat of a claustrophobic, oppressive feel that dampens the enjoyment of classic Zelda exploration. I found some of the dialogue and cutscenes to be slightly melodramatic, but generally, the story was interesting and full of feeling, enough so that I actually watched through a complete let's play of the game more than a year before purchasing the necessary console, controller and game, for no other reason than to follow the story. The story is fairly well constructed, with distinct and likeable characters. This game caters to fighters, explorers, puzzlers, collectors and score chasers alike, with the healthy dosage of sidequests, mini-games, secrets and challenges typical to Zelda. Nearly every boss serves a wonderfully varied and well-constructed battle if Ocarina of Time had a weakness, in my opinion, it's that the boss fights in the latter half of the game were, while still challenging, too monotonous. Various items make for fun and dynamic fighting and puzzle-solving. Wii controls echo and improve upon gameplay seen in the previous 3D Zelda titles. The latter has players flicking the Wii Remote to cast the line and then jerking it back to reel the fish in. Twilight Princess also includes several optional mini-games, from canoeing to herding to fishing. Link can even continue his battles on horseback, running at full gallop into packs of mounted enemies. As players explore puzzle-filled dungeons, they will shake, point, pull back, and tilt their controllers to throw boomerangs, fire arrows, launch a hookshot, swing a sword, and more. Link has a few new powers up his tunic's sleeve, however, as he can transform into a wolf with the help of a mysterious animal friend named Midna.Familiar elements from previous Zelda games have made the transition to Twilight Princess, albeit with new twists afforded by the motion-sensor controls. ![]() Players guide the elfin Link with both the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers as he fights to save Hyrule from a shadowy new threat, one that has cast a crippling darkness over the once vibrant land and its surrounding areas. Just warp it to the spot to the north of the Bridge of Eldin and it will fit right into place, giving you much better ease of travel throughout Hyrule Field.Notable for being the first Zelda game launched with a Nintendo platform, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for Wii is an enhanced version of the GameCube title with a new control scheme. ![]() Once you reach the very top and stand next to the large rock column that is the Bridge of Eldin, Midna should ask what you wanna do with the thing. It should be easy to spot from a distance, as the bridge itself is resting atop it, and standing vertically. In this corner you’ll find a large mesa, or pillar that you can climb on, and use Midna to reach the top. Once there, you just want to head all the way to the back left side of this area. Once you are sure you have the warp spot ready, make your way to the desert, which you can do after getting all four pieces of the Fused Shadow as part of the main quest in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD. The warp will spawn here, and you’ll be all set. Just ride Epona, or run there as Wolf Link, and take them out. ![]() You will need to go to the north side of the bridge, as this is where the Shadow Beasts are standing. ![]() Hopefully you fought all of the Shadow Beasts back at the bridge, cause you’ll need that warp spot that they created. If you didn’t fight them (as I happened to skip as well), head back to Hyrule Field. Note: All directions are for the regular version of the game, not Hero Mode, which is mirrored making right become left and left become right. Luckily, you’ll be able to do this relatively quickly, as the Bridge of Eldin was simply teleported out into the desert. Of course, you do eventually make it across, but fixing the bridge should be a priority, if for no other reason than to make travel throughout Hyrule move faster. After your epic fight atop the Bridge of Eldin in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD the bridge itself disappears, leaving you stranded on one side. ![]()
